Frequently asked
How is Open Claw Pro AI different from Open Claw Basic?
Open Claw Pro AI is the production-grade tier. It builds on Basic and adds active-passive failover so inference stays up when a node fails. It also adds production observability dashboards, secret manager integration for AWS KMS and Azure Key Vault, CI/CD pipeline examples for GitHub Actions and GitLab CI, on-call webhook stubs for PagerDuty and Opsgenie, and a hardening guide. Basic is the entry tier you can run by yourself; Pro is the tier you run when paying customers depend on the stack staying up.
What high availability topology does Open Claw Pro deploy?
Pro deploys active-passive failover. You run a primary inference host and a passive standby in the same Canadian region. A health-check loop probes the primary every five seconds. When the primary fails three checks in a row, the standby promotes and the load balancer cuts traffic over. Failover completes inside thirty seconds for most clouds. You can re-architect to active-active later by running the same installer twice and pointing at a shared vector store.
Which observability stacks does Open Claw Pro support?
Pro ships a bundled Prometheus plus Grafana stack with pre-built dashboards for inference latency, agent tool calls, and vector store recall. It also ships exporters for Datadog and New Relic if you already run one of those. Distributed tracing emits OpenTelemetry by default; you can point it at any OTLP-compatible collector. Log forwarding works with CloudWatch, Loki, and Datadog Logs out of the box.
Does Open Claw Pro include on-call coverage?
No. Pro ships webhook stubs that route alerts to your existing on-call platform. PagerDuty and Opsgenie stubs are tested and documented; any platform that accepts a webhook will also work. We do not take pages on your behalf at the Pro tier. Continuous monitoring and on-call coverage is a separate service we offer through our Sovereign Infrastructure Brief retainer.
Is Open Claw Pro suitable for regulated industries like healthcare or fintech?
Yes for pre-launch teams. Pro is the tier most healthcare, fintech, and public sector teams adopt before their first regulator review. The hardening guide maps every build choice to the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and to the CCCS Top 10 IT Security Actions. Procurement reviewers see a clean mapping table rather than a narrative. Production-tier audit log retention is set to ninety days by default.
What is the path from Open Claw Pro to Open Claw Enterprise?
Enterprise adds multi-region sovereign deployment, custom pipeline architecture, and a continuous on-call retainer. The cutover from Pro to Open Claw Enterprise is a topology change plus a contract upgrade; the Pro installer is forward-compatible with the Enterprise topology files. Most teams run on Pro for six to twelve months before moving to Enterprise. We sketch the cutover plan in your Pro onboarding call so the path is mapped before you need it.
